“Vicenta Montgomery came to our elementary school to read Ian’s Show and Tell Surprise. She read the story to each grade level at a time in an intimate setting. She was able to give so much personal background to the story that the kids were all hooked! She also came with a whole bag of props to help facilitate a discussion and more learning opportunities after the story. All of the kids were captivated, waving their hands in the air hoping to be chosen to participate. The story and presentation generated so many questions that two of the grade levels were late for lunch! The best part was later in the day when I would hear students referencing what they learned. They took the message of kindness and acceptance to heart. Vicenta was so wonderful to work with as well.
